A Simple and effective table was created to which all the data from ERP systems can be transferred to.
SKU cleansing by mapping different SKU number versions and normalizing them to a single source of truth
Normalizing suppliers by supplier groups
Time series plotting of purchase of a similar product from different suppliers to help consolidate spend and review MOQ
Historical commodity prices linked along to give better visibility of price trend and capture value.
Price benchmarking analytic conducted through in-house web-based application to identify points for price negotiations, design rationalization, supplier rationalization to optimize supply chain category management.
Results
Managers were able to compare, multiple products which could be standardized across categories
